What if you could live forever in a computer simulation? For some, the prospect of living forever and being young and healthy forever sounds almost too good to be true. But in a future world plagued by totalitarianism and suppression, many people come to the conclusion that the real world is not a place in which they want to live. They desperately need a sanctuary, where they can be the one they really want to be.

A group of powerful, highly intelligent individuals have created Reality, a realistic computer simulation based on a network of quantum computers fueled by free energy. They live in a large skyscraper on sovereign territory in the middle of a dystopian mega city, and the authorities dare not touch them. Those who choose to join Reality, can never return to the outside world, as they are considered traitors by the regime. With the enemy lurking just outside their property, these people run and supervise a multitude of Realities.

One of them is a recently “restarted” Reality, with the woman Josefine Bru installed as the presumed Owner of that Reality. She has participated in building this cosmos almost from scratch, and regards herself as irreplaceable. But is that true – and is she really the one in charge?

Restarted Reality is a novella series created and written by the male Norwegian author Danomaly1983 (born, as the nick suggests, in 1983). It is a sci-fi series intended for an adult audience. Any similarity to real-world persons and incidents is entirely coincidental.
